Lake Griffin is the 8th largest lake in Florida and is approximately seven miles long. Lake Griffin is the only Harris Chain fishery with controllable water levels because of a lock on Haines Creek with two access points that opened into the Esmeralda Marsh. It's the least developed lake along the Harris chain of lakes that have boater friendly fun.
